The platform of Wagon R and Indian Auto Market is just inseparable. So has the producers are planning to build a better and bigger form. Wagon R MPV is likely to hit the market in the month of August, next year. The estimated price should stay around Rs 5 lakh – Rs 6 lakh. It would be relatively economically model in the segment and is supposed to be a crowd puller .

 Interior and Exterior

One of the major changes being observed is in the extra stretch between the C and D pillar. The front door and the window are looking relatively longer. There have been very slender changes in the cabin and spare spaces. The car is still in the developing phase, so much of the interior hasn’t been confirmed yet. The bumpers would be of the same color as that of body along with tinted glasses all over.
The disadvantage may lie there for the passengers on the third row being cramped for room. Dashboard would come up with integrated audio system.The extended version of the Wagon R is going to have seven seats. The wheels are going to be the same though the car would be relatively lifted up for a higher ground clearance. The interiors would be trimmed with dual colors. The car itself would come up in a number of color variants to choose from. The hatchback would be having foldable rear seats to compliment the boot space.


Engine and Gearbox

Fuel tank could afford up to 35 L of fluid. Air conditioning is provided with the climate control feature. Driver’s seat and power steering are adjustable for driver’s comfort. With time, the company may think of the Wagon R MPV running on gaseous fuel. The car is presently expected to provide of 20 kmpl. Central locking and air bags would apparently be there for safety.

Wagon R MPV would have both the petrol and diesel options. Petrol would be loaded in 1000 cc KB-series engine whereas the diesel engine would be having 0.8 L DDSi cylinder. A sizeable power of 62 bhp would be delivered while the engine would be churning at 6200 rpm. The gear would be of the five way manual transmission type. Front disc and rear drum brakes are being employed.
